Katsias explores various media, especially glass, to express themes of ecology, conservation, and health. Joining the Chrysler Museum Perry Glass Studio team as adjunct faculty, she has been consistently experimenting using reclaimed glass. Ecological concerns lead her to focus on using this material wherever possible.
Her work is in public, private, and corporate collections, including Target Corporation, The Rutter Family Art Foundation, The Brock Environmental Center, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the Virginia Beach VIBE District. Professionally she has served on the Board of Trustees at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, 2011 – 2019.
