ART + WINE + CHEESE: Art History Teacher KARA SANDOVAL discusses the career and artworks of ROMARE BEARDEN

Romare Bearden’s masterpiece artwork, The Piano Lesson, is back on view at Nepenthe Gallery and local Art History teacher KARA SANDOVAL will lead a discussion about the legendary artist and his career. Along with The Piano Lesson, which inspired the Pulitzer-Prize winning play “The Piano Lesson” by August Wilson, the artwork Conjunction by Romare Bearden will also be on view.

Kara Sandoval is a faculty member at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School, serving as an Upper School Art History teacher, Yearbook Faculty Advisor and former Faculty Coach for “It’s Academic.” She is an alumna of James Madison University.
