Sunny Stack Goode has always been an observer. Her mission now is to be a change maker by utilizing her artwork and ideas to inspire social change. 

She is an entrepreneur and contemporary full-time artist who holds a BA in Art History from Hollins University in 1990. Sunny also completed coursework in the physiological and psychological effects of color, through the IACC-NA in California.

In her own words, “Color is how I communicate. Even in my earliest memories, color was the primary voice – it is no wonder I became an artist and love to paint. I believe, a painting should make you feel something, and leave you thinking. I often look back at a series I’ve done and realize that I can “see” very clearly what was going on in my life at that time, in the lines and shapes, but primarily with the colors I used. I tend to paint in a series, working through an emotion, or savoring a feeling I get by painting a similar subject with different color variations. Painting brings me joy and also helps me through more difficult times in my life. I often think of it as my mental yoga. My hope is to create paintings that evoke an emotion, creates a feeling that gets deeper each time you look at them, and leaves you thinking.” 

Recently she started, LOVEVOLVE LLC. Using the knowledge of the physiological and psychological effects of color combined with the power of words, Sunny creates products from her art therapy art utilizing the word LOVE and EVOLVE. Her artwork is then printed onto products, primarily textiles, scarves and baby swaddles.  Her work has been featured in publications such as Southern Living, Traditional Home, Coastal Living and The Washington Post. Sunny currently resides in  Virginia with her three children, Presley, Whit, and Beck. Her original artwork can be found in private and corporate collections all over the country.
