Virginia Beach, VA

Mia is a contemporary abstract artist whose work delves into internal and external states of being through landscapes and interiors with bold, vibrant compositions. 

 From the artist:  

“With a background in art from the University of New Mexico and expressive art therapy studies in California, I draw on my educational background to create works that resonate on a psychological level.”  

Mia currently resides with her two children in the city of Virginia Beach, VA.  Her home studio is just blocks away from the city’s Vibe Creative District, of which she is an active member. 

Mia has been a docent at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), chair to a public art committee, and served as an arts and humanities commissioner.   Her work is owned by Fortune 500 companies, health care organizations, and individual collectors.
