Jennifer Smith, working under the professional name J. Leigh Smith, is an emerging fine artist whose work explores singular moments and the quiet tension that exists beneath the surface of everyday scenes. Working in acrylic, pastel, charcoal, and graphite, she creates psychologically charged compositions that invite interpretation rather than resolution. Her work often reflects the unspoken—capturing fleeting, in-between moments where emotion lingers just out of reach.

Based in Northern Virginia, Smith is currently developing a cohesive body of work for exhibition and gallery presentation.
