After growing up overseas, Anne settled in Northern Virginia and studied at the College of William and Mary, majoring in Fine Arts. She pursued a long career in art-related fields–from graphic and exhibit design to video production, and finally e-learning development. Upon retirement, she returned more fully to creating fine art. She paints impressionistic landscapes in oil and particularly enjoys painting en plein air, which combines her passions for art and the great outdoors. She aims to convey the unique essence of a place and moment in time with brushes and palette knife. She is a member of Nova Plein Air Artists, Falls Church Arts, and the Vienna Arts Society and has exhibited and sold her work in many local venues.
