“Mr. Brainwash” (Thierry Guetta b. France, 1966) is a French-born Los Angeles-based street artist who was first introduced to street art by his cousin, the artist named “Invader.”
Many critics have observed that his works strongly emulate the styles and concepts of Banksy. Guetta held a debut exhibit entitled “Life is Beautiful” in Los Angeles in 2008 and the following year was hired by Madonna to design cover art for her album called “Celebration.” Since that time, Mr. Brainwash has held popular exhibits in cities around the world, including Opera Gallery, London and the Toronto International Film Festival.
