Cindy Zeigler rekindled her passion for art five years ago under the influential mentorship of world-renowned impressionist master, CW Mundy. Inspired by his ongoing guidance, Cindy explores a variety of subjects, such as boat scenes, still lifes and florals, seascapes and landscapes, developing a unique style influenced by ‘old world’ themes.
Working primarily with oils on linen panels and gallerywrapped canvases, her work exemplifies an old-world style of impressionism. Cindy has been juried into notable exhibitions across the Southeastern United States, exhibiting her art in events like the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival and the Great Gulf Coast Art Festival. Her pieces seem to engage and impress audiences, prompting numerous reactions similar to one woman’s reaction when entering her booth. This art enthusiast sighed and said with enthusiasm — “Now THIS is art!”
Cindy delights in the increasing appreciation of her unique style, particularly in areas that are full of large centurion houses, where there seems to be an expressed desire for touches of ‘old world’. For two consecutive years (2023 and 2024), she has been juried into Indiana’s prestigious Hoosier Art Salon. Notably, in the salon’s 100th anniversary year (2024), she won first place in the Still Life category, earning a substantial financial award; and in both years’ events, her paintings sold during their Opening Night Gala, a distinguished black-tie affair. She has also received awards in the Plein Air Salon Competitions in January and October of 2023.
