ART + WINE + CHEESE: Artist MIA GUILE at Nepenthe with her fanciful and fresh original paintings

Mia Guile primarily works with oil and flashe paint on canvas and paper. Her work explores the relationship between color and form, observing the spontaneity of emotions that appear. Mia’s greatest influences have been artists from the AbEx period (mid 1940’s through the mid 1950’s). From them, she has gained an understanding of remaining fluid in technique and letting barriers of the mind unbecome.
